Co-producing Peer Support for people living with (young onset) dementia and their families & friends, in Wandsworth & Merton 2021

Are you living with dementia and live in, or close to the London boroughs of Wandsworth and Merton?

With thanks to the support of the Wimbledon Foundation, For Brian is establishing peer support networks for people living with (young onset) dementia and their families and friends in Wandsworth and Merton. This is a facilitated network of individual families interested in co-producing support and activity for brain health, enabling access and working towards sustainability of those outcomes in a meaningful way. Starting with a phone call or informal meeting, we can offer:

  • Confidential consultations to identify the smallest things that would make a significant difference and explore options for activity for brain health, whether from our current services, a bespoke 1-1 intervention, and/or in the local community
  • Information, advice & introductions to other services as required
  • Be part of a social enterprise which utilises skills & experience
  • Raise awareness, educate professionals, take part in social research through our membership of the UK wide network of dementia voices (www.dementiavoices.org.uk)

Since Covid-19 meetings are convened in parks and outdoor dementia friendly spaces, or online.
